The last 4 pads I've bought online have all come defective. First a pair of Vortz foam pads from CypherGames, then a pair of BNS DX-Extremes, then an Afterburner, and now a BlueShark foam pad. Are these companies really that incapable of shipping working pads? What are some websites that WON'T send me defective pads? I don't have the money for a Cobalt Flux right now, so don't suggest that. |

A pair of Fusions were one of the ones I ordered that came defective. I meant to say BNS Fusions.[/quote] |

Perhaps you're just having bad luck, since BNS 'Extremes are pretty much the best foampads out there. Have you considered a metal one? And don't be driven away by the Afterburner, the Afterburner is simply crap. _________________

I was considering buying a TX-6000, because I heard they are pretty good, but I don't have the money right now. But if I do end up getting a metal pad, I'll probably get a TX-6000. |

How much are they? Because even if they are good (I don't think I've even heard of a TX-6000) you'll probably want to just go with a Blueshark or Cobalt Flux, which are pretty much the best metal pads out. _________________

Last time I checked, they're about $250. I'm not getting a BlueShark, but a Cobalt Flux might be a possibility. |

I'd reccomend it. As long as you bother to take care of it, it'll last you a long time (several years) and perform great. Taking care of it means to not use it on soft carpet (it breaks the wood base, but hard carpet is just fine), and to clean it every few months, which is a boring and sometimes long process but is vital to having a long living pad. The problem is, even though the design allows for the best performance (sensativity and durability wise) of any metal homepad, that design also means that cleaning it is more difficult than on other metal pads. You probably already know this and know why, but just figured I'd mention it anyway. _________________

Okay, so I can't order a Flux right now. Any suggestions for soft pads? |

Looks like the only non-metal pad you have left to try is the RedOctane Ignition 3.0! _________________

I already have an Ignition 3.0, but it's dying. I'm probably going to order another one soon, though. |
