Some people are having some trouble getting on, when they try to go on it acts as if the website is down. One user claims to not have been able to get on for 2 days now. _________________

Same here. I am not able to view the site from my browser since yesterday, it gives the "page cannot be displayed" error. However it works perfectly fine when I go through a proxy website. I am actually writing this via a proxy website and its not fun, its very slow. I thought I was the only one experienceing trouble but it seems that its not.
Has DDRFreak been blocking certain ISPs or IP addresses recently? That could explain why going through a proxy isnt affected byt direct access is affected. Alternatively, could DDRFreak.com be on ISP's blacklist.
I am on Virgin Media broadband, the predecessor company NTL/Blueyonder once had Hi5 (the social networking website) on the blacklist for some reason. NTL/Blueyonder used a website blacklist ran by a specific company which was used by several ISPs. HI5 was removed from the blacklist a few weeks later. The same problem could be occuring with DDRFreak.com |

This would certainly explain the feeling of aloneness on the boards. I was under the impression that everyone was out somewhere, having a life. But now that I've seen this I've left my state of insanity and realized once again that that isn't going to happen. _________________

Is this still happening? If it happens again, can you post the complete error code and message? Thanks. _________________

I have the same problem Pluto has, I leave a tab open for a very long time and nothing happens, ever
Thus, I don't get an error message, it just keeps on loading for infinity
Interestingly, it works just fine on my laptop, which is actually using someone else's wireless because mine isn't working for some reason :-/
My regular computer uses a cable modem _________________

I tried earlier on my mother's computer (which used the same connection as my laptop) and it didn't work.
Maybe only people with laptops can get on _________________

Works just fine for me, but could be cuz I'm on a laptop. Yet for some reason, other sites that I'm trying to get on won't work, so it's kinda the opposite...
Nevermind, it was something w/ my Wi-Fi router. |

Still doesnt work, no error codes or anything just
Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explorer
As you can see the page loads fine via a proxy but doesnt directly. I hope its OK to post large images here, if not, sorry... mods can always change it to a link.

Im on a MacBook, 3rd generation running leopard and safari 3, and the website is working just fine for me.
Maybe its an internet explorer issue? _________________

No, it's happening to me in Safari. It's the server not found/DNS thing.

*Pic* | I noticed in the 2nd pic, you have "www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/" entered, but in the 1st, it's "www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/index.php". Perhaps that's what's wrong? |

It's not a Laptop issue.
It's not an IE/Opera/Firefox/Lynx issue.
It's not a wi-fi vs. wired issue.
It's not an ISP issue, it *may* be a regional ISP issue. (Example: Comcast in Colorado may not be affected while Comcast in New Mexico may).
My two cents here is that my friend just told me that "No one from New Mexico has been able to access the site for 5 days."
While I think there are two exaggerations here that don't really help, there's an underlying issue that has yet to be figured out.
This is not an IP blocking issue because the site would load and give a "You Are Banned" message.

www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2
www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/
www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/index.php *SHOULD* all work and be identical.
If either of the first two doesn't work, you probably have HTTP Redirects turned off in your browser...
If the third doesn't work, there is something seriously wrong. _________________

I have talked to a few friends and they have the problem too.
I can't access DDRFreak on my desktop (XP SP2/latest FF) but my laptop works fine (Vista/latest FF). _________________

It's not a problem with my laptop, which is what I almost always use. I can get on the site just fine on it at school, but not at home. _________________

I haven't been able to get on either (laptop or desktop), just get the standard Firefox "server not found." Upon the suggestion of those on BMS, I'm viewing from a proxy right now.
Macomb, MI Comcast, XP SP2 and latest FF on both (if that makes a bit of difference). _________________
