So how good is Ontamarama?

Yeah. There's a new DS rhythm game out there, but I don't wanna buy it just yet. So I hope someone else out there can give me a good impression of how decent this game really is. I can use a new rhythm game for the DS, but I don't know what to expect out of this one. It doesn't really look like an Ouendan/EBA killer, but it seems like fun.

For those of you that haven't heard of this game, check it out.

Yeah, I initially planned to download it and use it on my M3 and it didn't work. That's why I was considering buying it. Oh wells.

It's down to $20 new now, so it must not have sold very well. I'll be getting it very soon, because Atlus + rhythm game = required purchase for me.

The music on the official webpage sounded fun, if quirky.

It's definitely worth the $20 it now costs.

On the highest difficulty it's a heckuvalot more difficult than anything on Elite Beat Agents. It's borderline impossible if you're not playing with the unlockable modifiers that make the game much much easier, or if you're not playing with another person (there's no official multiplayer, but hotseat multiplay is a no-brainer).

All of the songs fit the game well, but some (Thrash Metal Hellion, for example) are allot better than others.

It's not life-consumingly addictive like EBA, but it's still fun.
