Well, I have a few questions about this?

Who's the developer?

I ask this because Harmonix has taken over doing DDR Extreme for the US PS2, and they were responsible for most of the EyeToy features being programmed, so I'm curious to if Harmonix has anything to do with this new Japanese mix that has EyeToy features...

Actually, they (Harmonix) changed the entire front end and interface as well. The only thing Konami is really responsible for is the DDR engine, from what I've been lead to believe, with Harmonix basically doing everything else. I mean, US Extreme looks NOTHING like JP Extreme now, did you think Konami was responsible for that? E1.gif

Yes.

Yes I do.

Harmonix had no stake in the development of US Extreme, as that was just a rumor started because that person thought the interfaces looked similar. And to be quite honest, I don't see the resemblence between the two games.

No source on the songlist = its a fake.

Anyway, if we are speculating on songlists I would love to see them revive the few songs we never saw at home (There You'll Be, Raining Men, etc.) But if its full of periods and respects then there is no point and may CS ddr rest in peace.

It's rumor killing time!

Harmonix has not worked on DDR. This was a rumor started over at AaronInJapan.

This songlist is fake. Hell, Konami doesn't even acknowledge the existence of the game anymore, let alone have a published songlist for it.

Wow...people actually thought that songlist was legit? Damn, you people really surprise me sometimes.

Anyway, I heard from a good source that Festival is still coming out and will just be remixes of popular DDR songs! I've heard that there's going to be at least 5 Dynamite Rave remixes, 30 Butterfly remixes from the different Smile.dk albums, and possibly a new Paranoia! Should be good.

I really hope that's not all the game is. I want to see some new songs as well and not just a lot of remixes. I was thinking of pre-ordering from Play Asia but not until they release a final songlist.

I believe last night on Orange Lounge radio, Sigurd confirmed the game EXISTS. He didn't confirm ANY MORE than that, but the game DOES exist.

Therefore, I'm keeping my pre-order.

Quoted for extra, extra, EXTRA special emphasis. This new fascination with the Eyetoy and the first change of interface in three years is all KCET's effort. During Extreme's development Harmonix was working on Karaoke Revolution 2 and Eyetoy: Antigrav but NOT any DDR game at all. If you think you see something similar across two different Bemani games then its probably not a coincidence (because the games are in the same family) but that doesn't nessessarily mean there was a collaboration.

I should also point out that it's possible I may have added some of the fuel to this rumor with an unrelated news post from a few months ago.
