I'm guessing that maybe just that the preview is delayed, so they can have more time to work on the game, so it can be ready by their intended release date.
I want to see the preview as much as everyone else, but I'm sure everything will work out to be fine in the end. Have faith in Roxor that it'll be in arcades by the end of this year at the latest. _________________

AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Call me impatient, but AM getting a little sick of playing the same 134 songs or however it is. I mean seriously, when my SM is becoming more fun than the arcade, you know it's getting old.
UGGH
I would give my left nut for ITG3 right now _________________

Pssh, I'd LOVE to be playing those songs. I'm getting sick of playing the same ~70 on ITG PS2. _________________

Yep, nothing says "get working on that dance game" like an envelope with two bloody, severed testicles inside. _________________

Well, it could come off as a threat if we played it right, and I doubt Kyle wants to get rid of his balls any time soon, so yeah, it might just work.
.....But I'm sure as hell not testing this theory...... _________________

So I've been thinking about this, and I realized that I'd rather have the complete science regarding ITG2CS than the recent "We'll be at this convention OOPS just kidding lolz" debacle that was an ITG3 preview.
I've said it in other places, but my basic thought right now is that one of Chris Foy or Kyle (I can't remember which) description of Roxor as "Just a bunch of guys who love dancing games" is both their greatest weapon and their biggest obstacle. It allows them to put out a great series, but they've made public screwup after public screwup (The R14 debacle, taking somewhere in the realm of four to five months to get LilQ his machine for winning NAT05, this recent ITG3 fiasco) that they really shouldn't be able to get away with, but everyone gives them a pass because, shockingly, Konami in recent months has proven just as incompetent.
In short, the ITG series, to me, is great in spite of the Roxor games "infrastructure", not because of it. _________________

What "fiasco" are you talking about?
They never released a date. They're also a small company. It takes a lot of coordination between their local staff members to get things out. Give them a break. They're not a multi-million dollar corporation. _________________

I'd rather they had kept quiet until they knew what the release date was instead of announcing it and then saying nothing for 8 months.
Actually, if they had given us any good info since January, I wouldn't be complaining at all. _________________

It was seemingly already talked about in this thread, but the "hey we'll be at AMOA JUST KIDDING LOLZ!!1!!!" swerve that by now should not have come as a surprise to anyone is what I was refering to.
I mean, they say they're going to be there. They go to the trouble of making up an ad for it, which presumably cost them money or, best-case scenario, time. They then turn around and say "sorry, we're not gonna be there, no further information."
I dunno, I just think if Konami went and did something like this, everyone saying "give Roxor a break" would be rushing to crucify them. _________________

That was proven false.
My patience is waning fast, Roxor. We've gotten a little bit of info on ITG3, but none on ITG2PS2, which I am looking foward to most, since I sincerely doubt we will ever get an ITG3 machine here in ND. I expext an announcment in October, with the game going on sale in December [/prediction] _________________

This may or may not be directly related to ITG2CS, but apparently the ITG PC R2 was released, and it contains...the rest of ITG2.
Make of that what you will. More info here

You guys need patience. I've interned for a game company before and having information go out is VERY limited. Actually, the information that went out was only in one review and after the magazine review they had no other information leaving the company.
Do any of you guys realize the time required for creating a game? Do you even concider how to deal with getting vendors? Have you thought of how to design, create, and purchase the parts for an upgrade or a dedicated cabinet? I mean really, getting the parts designed and programmed is difficult. Then if something is wrong or slightly different in the specs they have to retest the whole design. Maybe if the latency is a little off then the timing is off so then then need to go back in and hardcode a specific area in the game stucture. But if there's an issue with that or some sync issue then they have to either reprogram part of the software, or hardware, OR redue the step charts for compensation. Now, what about the lives they live outside of the company? What about a server going down and loosing 1-2 weeks of backed up date? Yes, there's a lot of what if's but you shouldn't think that all they do is get up and create the game. They too have a life and creating a game is no walk in the park. When the company is small they can create the design they'd like with the all their details but it takes more time. Just try to realize there's a lot more to do than what meets your consumer eye. I know how hard it is because I've seen it and dealt with it. Learn, grow up and be more respectful. If they wanted to give you a crappy version then they would've already released the game. One good example is Blizzard. They push back the games so they can deliever a great product for their consumers/buyers/gamers.

It's a matter of the software platform now - the hardware is standardized. Shadow_Dragonz wrote: | Now, what about the lives they live outside of the company? | Irrelevant. Shadown_Dragonz wrote: | What about a server going down and loosing 1-2 weeks of backed up date? | You deserve it if you let that happen. We do nightly rsyncs with DDR Freak, and it's certainly not on the level of "mission critical" that a source server in a development studio is. I mean, sure, if we lose all the data, then we've got our hands full of work to get things back up and running...but we're self-funded. Answering to a publisher as to why you just wasted two weeks' worth of payroll is a completely different matter entirely. _________________
