My guess is that the only thing DDR itself has made popular (and not by itself, most all Bemani had a hand in it, I think) is Naoki.

And any other artists who appear exclusively in DDR. (Paula Terry? laugh.gif )

Personally, it was I Believe in Miracles. Sure enough, only AFTER I'd played the song to death did I start hearing IBM in public, and it even got used in a breakdancing performance I was in.

Stomp to My Beat was always "that DDR song" for a while until I finally heard it on the radio.

On another note, I'm sure Chopin's Revolutionary Etude and Vivaldi's Four Seasons Winter 1st movement became very popular after DDR.

No, it wasn't, those were already CLASSICS.

Rephrase: those songs became MORE popular after DDR.
At least for me... I never heard of them before DDR; now they are some of my favorite classical songs.

Teehee... the Revolutionary Etude is the #1 listened to/downloaded Chopin MIDI in the Classical Archives website (no link just in case it's piracy...)

And I still stand behind what I said before: In a few years, So Deep will become very popular.
