Monolith and July are both much harder than Go 60 Go.

And if Energizer and Euphoria are "real 12s", then so is every other 12. Go 60 Go is real, and it's a 12, so it is a real 12.

And, going by your implied definition of a "real 12", Energizer is most definitely not a real 12. I can pass Energizer with about an 80%, and I can't come even close to passing Euphoria, Hardcore of the North, Bloodrush, Monolith, or Hardcore Symphony.

Please, learn what you're talking about before you talk.

I like Monolith. Good steps unless you suck and can't keep up, then I can understand how you wouldn't like it.

Monolith is by far my favorite ITG1/ITG2 song. And Thus, Driven is my favorite course. I play Driven all the time.

The Monolith hard 9-foot steps on Driven Intense are so much fun.

Monolith's 11-foot expert steps are not very enjoyable at all. If you would like to see a truely amazing stepchart that reflects the music, and blends challenge with ease, download my 11 foot monolith edit on itgfreak.com in the community edits section. (name's Akuma_APN there too).

What really pissed me off though was the fact that Roxor released a patch that CHANGED THE EXPERT STEPS!!! In their original form, the expert steps were decent, and I was accustomed to the hands. It was pretty fun. But then Roxor changed the hands! WHY!!!! WHO WOULD CHANGE OFFICIAL STEPS AFTER THEY'VE BEEN RELEASED!!! WHO!?!?!? WHY?!?!?! WHAT!!!!!

lol, I'm gonna have to shut this conversation down.

Comparing your scores isn't a good idea when you suck. The first time I ever played Euphoria, I got an 85%, and I wasn't even trying. I usually get about 94% on Energizer, 97% on Hardcore of the North (which is a stupid easy song... that one should be 11 feet), 97% on Hardcore Symphony, and 94% on Monolith.

I'm not kidding about Hardcore of the North either. I could pass that without the bar, back when I sucked and was out of shape. If you can drag your feet, you can pass that joke.

My scores in foot brackets are all very similar because I'm a very consistent player. I get 97-99% on all 11 footers. Usually 94-96% on 12 footers. The 13 footers are kinda like wild cards. I can get 97% on summer, 95% on pandemonium, and I can bearly pass vertex^2. All the 10 foot songs, I consistently triple-star.

Well then, now that that's all cleared up, I say Monolith Expert is indeed an 11 footer, because the steps are too compact. You really don't feel like you're going anywhere when you play it. It's difficult, for sure, and I don't do very well on it, but it doesn't require much effort. On the other hand, I have to do a vast amount of movement, and turning on Energizer, or compensate by doing quick double-steps. Energizer's patterns are not compact at all, and require much more effort. That is what seperates Energizer from Monolith, and 11 footers from 12 footers.

Robotix is a fun song. It is moderately challenging. ITG's definition of "10 feet" is "embarassingly easy." Robotix is not so easy that you have to sleep through the *whole* song. So I think it's only fair that it wears the label "easy 11 footer." It's certainly not a whole lot easier than jokes like Xuxa.

Sorry if I stepped on any toes. I just really don't like it when I see people say stuff like, "Please, learn what you're talking about before you talk." when it's uncalled for. It's quite insulting, and I gotta dish it back out when I see it. Obviously, I know what I'm talking about, so that's the end of that.

oh btw, I got 80% on windeu's monolith stamina killer edit. w00t.

conversation SHUT DOWN!!!!!

Please, understand that thinking Robotix should be a 10 is my opinion. Don't tire yourself and go to extreme lengths to convince me otherwise.

Also, please rethink how you describe your "truly amazing" Monolith edit.

Monolith is MUCH MUCH easier than Go 60 Go imo. Go 60 Go has that wacky offset 64th, strings of the clusters one after the other over and over again, and tons of crossovers and turning all in the middle of it.... Go 60 Go is just one big mess to me, I find it pretty difficult for a 12, which I know is not normal, but oh well. its all the turning that gets me i think. Monolith is just so much more straight foward and easier to power through.

but then there's songs that are actually really cool to listen to outside of playing the game like D-Code. I tried playing it in my car while driving one day and I realized how much it sucks to listen to if you're not actually playing it. In-game it's great, though.

The expert steps are pretty boring imo. 16th notes in random spots spread out instead of runs are tiring and unfun. I'd rather play something like Summer if I wanted something fast.

You are right. Most ITG songs arent nearly as good outside of the game. Except Bloodrush.

try playing it on a pad. The 24ths are a nice new speed for your feet to pick up and learn, and once you can hit them, it feels cool. The rest of it fits the music well, not too demanding at all. The freezes in the middle are like a puzzle. There's only one way to do it without getting any N.G.'s, so just follow the bottom of each freeze to the top of the next.

It's one of the few edits that I will actually play at the arcade frequently, along with my Infection edit, which is just mind-blowing. E10.gif
