am i the only one that thinks Do U Love me is the easiest or one of the easiest 10s? sure it's got those 32nd notes but they're not that bad and the rest of the song is cake.

Can you clarify which songs are offsync from this list? Do you mean an offsync stepchart, or the offsyncness that occurs from the song (not chart) drifting in tempo (as people are imperfect)?

At version 11 of ITG2, I'd think any errors should be fixed.

I think there are many 10s easier than Do U Love Me.

That's not my job, but I'm sure Ryan can when he gets back from Norway.

Alright then. I just don't like when I say out of ignorance that X is not harder than Y, and then someone says X is offsync.

God damn, Kiba, your tiering list is accurate and awesome.

Perhaps, you can do one for the more difficult songs (11-12)? I'd like to see, which songs I should try next, etc., etc.

I-Score ranks all songs 10+. For 11's:

Quote:
1. Monolith 63
2. Clockwork Genesis 82
3. Hardcore Symphony 82
4. The Beginning 133
5. Infection 138
6. July 155
7. Robotix 158
8. Utopia 165
9. Mythology 179
10. Destiny 209
11. Xuxa 307
12. Charlene 323

I-Score does not consider Destiny, Xuxa or Charlene elevens.

I'm not good enough for these lists to apply. These lists are strictly on scoring difficulty (duh) and while I can pass the 11's, I'm not good enough yet for these to apply to me.

In other words, I score much higher on songs like Infection and Utopia than Destiny because my footspeed isn't up to snuff, and just that alight difference in BPM will affect my FA in the runs greatly.

Meh, I guess this pushes me to get better though.

P.S. I agree that The Beginning should be high on up, though many people seemed to disagree with me. I'm happy it is ranked 4. Why aren't the two 11's on hard mode here?

OMG, so very ironic. x_x I just 97.xx'd Sweet World last night, with my previous best score on it being a low 92.

Wow, it's so accurate. biggrin.gif

The next 11 I'll try to improve my score on (and star) are going to be Destiny (it has been for quite a while -- my best is around 95 now), Utopia, and Robotix; thanks Kiba! E1.gif

I'm guessing you mean that if people read these lists and attempt them in the order iRank gave, their scores will improve on a scale equal to that of iRank's rankings, therefore distorting your sample group and making your results questionable statistically?

Well, thats what I'm reading it as and I hope that sentence made sense. But this just leads me to ask, where are these rankings taken from? Tournament results?

That's not what I mean. The statistical integrity is resolute. It's just that these lists are in my thesis, and are as yet unpublished.

Would this system also say that Summer is a 12?

No, Summer is a thirteen by I-Score.

So then what does I-score look at to determine what it thinks is a certain difficulty level? I figured it had something to do with how many people can score high and remain consistent on a song, because Destiny is not a song people typically associate with "easy 11." (though I could see how high-caliber players would find it easy to be consistent, especially when stamina is a non-issue)

I-Score motions to demote a song iff the song is considered easier by comparative I-Score than half the songs at the rank below it. Basically, Destiny is easier then half the tens (comparatively), so it thinks it ought to be demoted.

Should it be demoted, since the comparison would change, we could predict Destiny would be considered a difficult ten.

Yes, but part of the factors in rating is not just score, which I-score only addresses obviously. A 10-block player would be eaten by Destiny most likely for the footspeed required in the runs and jumps.

But discussing rating is besides the point. Why doesn't I-score factor in songs on Hard in the double-digit ratings, VerTex, Energizer, Pandemonium, and V2?

I believe those songs well deserve their ratings and thus the chance to be measured along side their more prevelant expert songs of their rating. Heck, Pandemonium I bet would be on the higher end

Could you explain the MathCraft behind I-Score? I'm curious to see exactly how this works.

Because they do not have a representative sample size to quantify over, and they are not played in an ideal tournament.

This isn't meant to be rude, but you won't notice the difficulty until you are a better player. For an analogy, I found Burning Heat much easier than Cartoon Heroes until I became a better player.

I may change my opinion as I get better, but as irregular as they are, to me they really don't seem nearly as bad as stuff found in Visible Noise and Tension. Plus, next to Summer In Belize, Sweet World has more steps than any other ITG 10, making Excellents you may get from the gallops more harmless than in other songs, especially the sub-500-step Visible Noise.
