yea tension is impossible -.-
I can guarantee you that there ARE people in the world who can move faster than 20 steps/sec. |
Oh yeah? How about 32 steps/sec? Sweet World has the footspeed equivalent to 32 steps per second.
Edit: change 32 to 26.4 =.=
Or if I made a song that was 600bpm and had a 256th note gallop...it's impossible!
My point is that while it is possible to do short bursts of 20 steps/sec, it is very unlikely that people can do long runs of it.

Check your math there, just because they're 32nd notes doesn't mean they're 32 steps/second. _________________

Sweet world's gallops are 48ths. I calculated it and it was 32 steps/second.
Edit: whoops, I calculated with the wrong bpm (160) heh. It's actually 26.4 steps per second.
Anyways, I hope you get my point. |

also, i have been trying those tens, and most I can do...not sunshine, and some I haven't tried. But anyway, yet again, I'm having troubles. I went back to DDR today, and tried Max300 3 times then I slowed it down. Then I tried it again full speed, and I still can't do those trills. Is there any advice that you can give me for trills? I couldn't even do the trills when i slowed to song speed 3, for some reason I can't seem to do Max300, but I haven't tried the other Max's in a while, so I will post again later. But also, I can do Tribal Style, and Walking on Fire, and Remember December. And Do you love me, and most of the other tens, but I still can't do Max 300, I'm still trying to figure out why.
But I still need to warm up today, so I will post later...
Edit: I think the right term would be trill. But what I mean is when there are 2 of the same steps over and over. I think trill is the right term... _________________

Speed rates are only taken into consideration in streams/runs/trills. If you want near-impossible speed rates, then try throwing in 16th streams in Energizer. |
So how about tension's quick 32nd triples? Do those count? _________________

Hands R' Us wrote: | A good way of measuring your foot speed is by calculating steps per second. Here is a chart detailing examples of foot speed in steps/sec:
Anubis 16th runs 7.33 steps/sec
Charlene 16th runs 9.20 steps/sec
Bloodrush 16th runs 10.53 steps/sec
Destiny 16th runs 11.67 steps/sec
Summer 16th runs 12.33 steps/sec
Determinator 24th runs 14.70 steps/sec
Euphoria 32nd runs 18.67 steps/sec
For example, if your max foot speed is about 10 steps/sec, then you should be able to handle Energizer. I seroiusly doubt that anyone in the world could move faster than 20 steps/sec. |
Few people can press buttons that fast in StepMania. |

I dunno
Edit: how long did you use the weights???????? |
I did it every other day (minus weekends) for about a month. It took a few days for my ankles to stop hurting, but now they're fine. It really does help in a pinch. That or worshipping Kevbo and Yasu. _________________

yay! I feel special, I did Utopia, and then Xuxa in a ROW about a week ago, but my internet was down so I couldnt post. But if anyone is in the same situation, I need to ask. How long does it take for you to warm up to do the hardest songs that you have done? Because one day, I did like 4 songs, and then tried Xuxa again (which is the easiest 11 for me) and I couldn't do it. But then one day, I tried Xuxa as like my 2nd song because I had to go somewhere with my aunt, and I didn't think I would do it, but I did, does anyone know why?
The time I DIDN'T do it, it was at night, and the time I did was after I came home from school and my brother got off of the games, which was about 4:00 (I get home at 2:50) _________________

Good days and bad days. As corny as that sounds, it's true. If I'm going out to pass a song really hard for me like Determinator or Bloodrush, I usually do 1 song on either medium or hard to warm up my muscles but not take an ounce of stamina away from me. I wouldn't suggest warming up with July before you do Bloodrush unless Bloodrush is easy for you, which it is for some.
SUMMARY: Good days and bad days. I suggest easy warm ups that require little energy but still lossen you up.
Oh, and contrary to popular belief, the bass rush, while not a consistent rhythm, is faster than Determinator's hell stream. This is the footspeed thread, so I thought I should mention that. _________________
