So you can lame your way through a 13 and have some minor ability to FA.
Yeah you're "good" alright. |
What the heck?!! I'm just frikin saying that I can do alot more than 9s!!!You dont have to say how much I suck just cause your stuck up about how "good" are! And know I dont just "lame" my way through pandy! I CAN DO IT!! I didnt say I'm better than you but I think im good at itg compared to most people, even if you and others are much better. Im sorry but you kinda just pissed me off when your telling me how much I suck... _________________

You'll notice that you hadn't responded to this thread prior to Malice's statement, so it wasn't directed at you, so bringing your accomplishments into this thread was highly irrelevant. And when he says you're "laming" Pandy he means you're probably getting a very low score on it, and I would probably not be surprised if you were using the bar to get comparatively low scores. Nevertheless, your scoring ability is not the pertinent issue, but what you believe to be the hardest 9 and how you defend that choice. _________________

DFC is kind of draining but nowhere near the hardest 9 to pass; Liquid Moon, On a Day Like Today, and Solina are all far more difficult.
To score, Liquid Moon is again tough, but so is Lipstick Kiss because it has like no steps, so you need some absurdly low number of excellents to *** it. Amore is kind of hard too, but it's also offsync. _________________

I only brought in my accomplishments to show that I still think DFC is a hard 9 even though I can easily do 9s, because he said that once you get "good" then you will realize that it's easy or something like that. And if your definition of "laming" is like you said, than almost everyone who can pass pandy is laming it. I mean who doesnt use the bar for pandy?... dont answer that! _________________

Ok, here's the thing about Driving Force Classical.... I personally think it's by far the hardest 9. Once you gain a lot of stamina and FA ability though, far beyond the "can pass 9's" level, its difficulty decreases quite significantly. I think DFC remains quite hard even after passing say, 11's. It's way more draining than any other 9 i've played (and a great deal of 10's as well, plus Charlene), yet someone who's really "good" at the game isn't going to find it anymore draining than Da Roots, because their stamina is way up there and passing difficulty for a 9 doesn't make a single bit of difference in what a really good player considers "difficulty". And since stamina wouldn't be an issue, it's mostly comprised of just 8th notes so FA'ing it isn't hard either.
But for my level, and I'm sure many others, it's the near endless stream, constant tough crossovers that more often than not turn into a doublestepping mess, jumps thrown in the middle, then that nasty step-jump part beating even Kyle's worst step-jumps, all topped off with sixteenth clusters in the middle of all the crossovers/double steps/jumps, all at a fairly brisk pace, it's just one huge, draining pain in the ass. I suck at it so much. And saying someone just thinks it is hard because they "aren't that good" is totally irrelevant. someone's personal standard of "good" doesn't mean jack to other's in the grand scheme of things. Different skilled players are going to find different things hard, simple as that.
The runner up would be On A Day Like Today.... that's all I can think of right now.
On A Day Like Today and Liquid Moon are both tricky for 9's but they have only really have brief hard parts that require a little concentration and momentary hard work to power through, but they just don't keep a very high consistent difficulty like DFC does for me. _________________

The only thing that's hard about Driving Force Classical is the step-jump, step-jump sections that it has.
On a Day Like Today is more difficult with that run than the step-jump patterns. _________________

Well I'm quite sure you think that's the only hard part about it. But we're obviously not at the same level here so like I said before I find certain things hard that you don't. _________________

Yes; it's for your aforementioned reason that "hardest to pass" isn't that accurate of a measure, because there's no way I could tell you the easiest 7 in DDArgh--they all feel really easy to pass. Hardest to score is easy to see by looking at the average high score on Groovestats. _________________

I would have to agree that hardest should be determined by scoring because 90% of the people in this particular ITG forum have no difficulty passing 9's. I don't worry if I'm going to pass it or not unless it's an 11, and a hard 11 like that (hello there Monolith).
Passing wise Summer Hard and Monolith Hard are probably HARDER than DFC, but both Summer and Monolith on hard are pretty easy to FA, at least for me.
I still stand that On a Day Like Today is the hardest 9 though _________________

It's the same stepchart. They just updated the difficulty level from 10 to 9 because it was too easy of a 10; it didn't fit as a 10. _________________

On ITG1 Liquid Moon is an 8 and doesn't even have expert steps.

Wake up is hard FA as well though. |

i was gonna say the EXACT same thing
i also didn't ** this yet (97.8 on it so far)
i also have problems with zodiac's jump-triple-jump part, so zodiac is on my list. along with:
lipstick kiss is a biatch to FA.....3x seem perfect for me to FA it (but not agent blatant, i use 5x mini)
DFC is quite easy only because i tried 5x mini (i cannot FA it on 3x) _________________

Lemmings on the Run and Wake Up aren't hard, and neither is Solina. Zodiac is hard. While slow, it's full of technical tricks that almost belong in 10-footers. _________________
