Pump it Up Exceed for PS2 has been recalled...
www.piugame.com/kor/main.html
the message is in a pop up in Korean... I believe it has something to do with the pad not responding... seems they want the pad and game back... I'm not sure how this will work for people in other countries who purchased from Play-Asia... Contact Andamiro... or Play-Asia...
as for the 2X code here :
use the red panels for this -

Can anyone who's played it yet confirm/deny that Rap Act 3, A Trap, Hatred, and the other revivals have their revised/added stepcharts included, or are these simply the originals? I'll know soon enough, but I consider this a huge selling point if the EX2 revisions are intact.. thanks in advance. _________________

Play-Asia emailed me back...
My question :
I was wondering if Play-Asia would delay any further sales of Pump it Up
Exceed for PS2... according to the Korean section of the official Pump it
Up website : www.piugame.com/kor/main.html the game has been recalled... I
waited for others to get theres before considering ordering... because I
had a feeling something would go wrong... too bad I was right... seems the
pads stop responding a bit into play... well thats what I hear from people
who purchased it....
Their answer :
Hi Marcel Randle,
thank you for contacting Play-Asia.com.
We are out of stock now, so any new order that is not yet shipped will be
from the new shipment.
In case of any further question please do not hesitate to contact us
again.
Best regards,
Rachel
Play-Asia.com
Of course I emailed them back asking what people who purchased the defective one should do... haven't recieved a response yet. |

If you give me a link to the new stepcharts, I can check for you by tonight. _________________

I heard the by 'defective' it just means that pad stops responding after 8 songs, but if you unplug it and plug it back in again it works fine.
I still haven't gotten mine yet, but I e-mailed play-asia to ask if mine had been recalled, and they said no, and that it should arrive shortly. |

Got an email back from Play-Asia :
Hi Marcel Randle,
thank you for contacting Play-Asia.com.
Well, some of the mats are affected only. For many customers, already it
helped to play the may for a while and the error has not occured anymore.
We have no detailed information on what causes the fault so we can not
comment too much but it seems that continued usage solves this problem in
many cases.
In case of any further question please do not hesitate to contact us
again.
Best regards,
Steven

So I guess to fix the problem... play with stage break of... Vook over and over... lol |

Plugged mine in, fired up the PS2, and 20 seconds into the first song, it died.
Unplugged it, plugged it back in, 2nd round, 1st stage played fine, 2nd stage, died in 10 seconds.
Unplugged it, pluged it back in, played through 3 rounds, then it died 45 seconds into the first stage of the 4th round.
It definitely just seems to happen randomly; when I replay the same song, it doesn't reproduce the problem. _________________

I got mine, and it does that too.
Andamiro thinks that it might have to do with static electricity and that repeated playing will reduce this electricity and make the problem go away.
It seems to occur less and less the more I play it, so I think they're right.
And by the way, EXCEED ROCKS!! |

I've just received my Exceed pack and it just rocks ! But one thing : the exceed pad does not seem to work with the PC version (Prex3)....
It works great with Stepmania thought, all the 9 buttons are recognized
Have anyone made the Exceed pad work with the Prex 3 ? |

I don't see why it wouldn't work with PREX3 for PC... maybe it's got more problems than the static thing and thats why they recalled it... |

Mine works perfectly for Prex 3 PC.
I just plugged it in, let Windows detect it (detects it as "Pump It Up!"...odd), no drivers needed. Fired up Prex 3, and it worked without doing anything special to it.
Did you make sure you plugged the pad in BEFORE you started up Prex 3? _________________

Easier than you think.. none of those songs had Nightmare steps before, and The Rap and Hatred never had CZs.
I also hear A Trap got new CZ steps, as did LiaDZ and Come To Me(Clon). Not to mention Hello, Beat of the War, LiaDZ, and Conga Nightmares.. _________________

i heard that the pad failure was caused by static and is most common on carpet., but a previous post says that this is caused by the need to break in the pad. can anyone confirm this? _________________

Off the top of my head, A Trap and Rap Act 3 for sure have CZ steps. Forever Love (or whatever that FinKL song was) doesn't.
Can't check the rest of them for now until I get my PS2 back =/ _________________
