We've added a new section to our Songlists & Codes page to allow you to quickly access savegame files for DDR games! Take a look and let us know what you think!

Also, if you see any files missing that you think should be added, let us know so that we can share them with everyone!

It's nice for people who just got the PS games, who corrupted their data, etc.

How many times have I had to unlock Drop The Bomb SySF Mix? I don't know, but I know how many times I'll have to do it from now on.

PS: I think I still have my Disney Mix save. I'll try to get it to you tonight or sometime soon.

EDIT: Also, I think Louie is a hero to those who bought DDR Extreme US.

Celebrate. (Wouldn't the Dance Play Setting be Off, though, if the face buttons were turned off?)

I couldn't remember, and my wife was too busy playing Katamari Damacy for me to put in a game to check. I'll take your word for it and switch it to OFF.

As for Edits...Well, I guess since people are already clamoring for it, I might as well spill the beans - The reason this system doesn't support Edits is because I'm working on something completely separate for handling Edits. I just didn't want to say anything until it was close to completion. blink.gif

Umm, I know this probably has something to do with home versions or something. But could someone please explain why we have/need this? I'm totally clueless to this.

When corruption of data happens, we can easily go on this site and get it.

It's not really a neccessity but it's just a good thing to have, sort of like a backup plan for people.

You mean, like when you unlock songs and such? Hmm, talk about defeating the purpose of unlocking things. Whatever I guess, as long as the people who care like it.

Memory card data can be corrupted if you take the card out while it's being accessed, and in other ways. Once that happens, it's useless- you get to delete it and start over.

It's incredibly frustrating to get Drop The Bomb SySF Mix on DDR Max (500 songs or pass some longass Oni course that takes a good while to unlock), then have your data get corrupted and start all over.

You could use them to cheat, but they could be used as backups, too.

I love this section! What a great idea!
If someone has a cheating device such as an Action Replay, could they use codes to make saves for the US PS2 games with AAA's for all the records, and for DDR EXTREME, make a file with all 100 missions in Mission Mode completed? *please*

What'd be the point then? It's just a perfect game but you don't get anything for doing that do you?

I see Phrek's point because of this post now, it's simply lame.

I can see that starting with a complete save file for any video game is cheating.

But this is DDR we're talking about here. Cheating at DDR is like cheating at SimCity - who the hell cares? DDR, like SimCity, doesn't have a set goal (other than the implied "Be awsome") and it also doesn't have a set end. Even if you were to use an Action Replay code to always have a AAA then you're not cheating at DDR so much as just lying about the result. ("You failed... and earned a AAA!")

Now making the perfect window larger is definitely cheating and giving yourself infinite lives in oni mode (or any infinite lifebar) is also definitely cheating. But if someone just wants to bypass the locks to reach the later levels then thats not cheating in my book. For a game like Gradius where level 1 leads to level 2 and the final level requires a good half hour to reach (or whatever) then a stage select code would be considered a cheat. But since DDR embraces the level select option in normal gameplay unlike other music games such as PaRappa The Rappa, then these save files aren't really giving anyone an advantage. They're just convieient.

So go download the Extreme JP save file with Sakura unlocked and be awsome. E7.gif

What does it matter in DDR, it's a home version and it's just scores.
As with everything if you don't want to "cheat" don't.

I have also found myself in need of such a feature for research purposes. For example, I was trying to do some research on the Paint feature in 3rd Mix, but you have to unlock it to use it. There's no User Support option for 3rd Mix in any of the following games. So, I had to sit there and play the game enough to get the damn thing to unlock.

Similarly, last time I checked at GameFAQs, the 5th Mix save they had didn't have the Gallery completely unlocked. This has probably since changed. It doesn't take long to unlock all the songs in 5th Mix, but that gallery is *huge*.

This is definately a great feature to add to this site. I wish it was here last time my data got randomly corrupted frown.gif Well now i need to get like a dex drive or something, but still this sounds great. This will also be very helpful to those who have terrible luck with their memory cards where they get corrupted all the time. Great idea E1.gif

Well, I guess if it's for research purposes sure. But, the whole unlock system created a sense of replay value. Saying you had to play a poopy load of times to unlock this, and then do this to unlock this and so on. And you would find yourself playing the game for much longer than you would have if everything was already there.

Talk about perfect timing! OMG, this is a godsend! My DDR-savegame card just came unformatted last week, and I almost lost an eyeball when I saw the "format memory card" screen in my PS1. FYI, I _DID_ have the entire 5th Mix gallery, BTW. E2.gif Now I just need a Dex Drive or a friend with one. laugh.gif

And in the DDR case, it doesn't HAVE to be cheating. You can always erase record scores and such, or clear the Mission Mode data once it's completed. Most games don't let you mess with that sort of thing (now, if this were a full-stocked MMX6 savegame, that WOULD be). Besides, considering every 3rd-or-so "main title" (import-wise, anyways) practically has a FEATURE for this function, how's that cheating?

*Heck, half of the import-players I know only/mostly got Party Collection JUST to use that on Extreme... laugh.gif *

Nonono... THAT is called "the grade system". E13.gif It's also helpful to play harder difficulties, and Double mode, too.

*Suggestion*
Somebody should upload an unformatted 5th Mix Arcade-Link file, since it's adaptive/universal... for those who are import-less, but still arcade-junkies. E1.gif

The what? I could have swore these games had unlocks during play. What's this grade system?

I think what Nightime is saying is that the game has replay value by virtue of the fact that you can keep playing for better scores, trying to get perfect scores on everything.

Anyway, as has been said, nobody is making you download the saves. So, if you get one and then find the game ending in a short fashion, you have only yourself to blame.

As it stands, I don't have a fully-unlocked save for Extreme US yet, and everything else has been on the market for six months or more, so anyone who would have gotten any "freshness" from the game has it now.
