Who is JSB? laugh.gif

I know of a lady in Colorado who plays DDR. She's my friend's Aunt and she's gotta be like 40+. I met her once when she came down here, she plays the hard songs just like the rest of us. It was werid to watch her in her work out gear just thrashing away at that machine to a some like Paranoia or something. She's cool though.

Alot of people would say Take and Yasu are better actually.

What's sad is that people are doggy about how it's going to hurt the DDR community with a bad representation. People already associate DDR with punk kids anyways. It's not like he is a UN represenative. He is a teenager that is having fun being immature.

Ask yourself this. Does it really matter how jsb acts? Is it going to destroy DDR? No. To both.

So stop acting like it's such a big deal. Because it's not.

And for the record, I don't think he has to act that way and I may not like the way he acts. But people are overreacting because he is a demi-god in the DDR community and overlooking the basics.

It makes a difference because people will read that article and potentially get turned off to DDR from it. Whether he is good at it or not it doesn't matter. What makes you think we're considered punk kids already anyway? In my area DDR players are usually seen as clean-cut college students.

I know JSB personally, I'd actually even go as far and say he's a good friend of mine. What I find funny time and time again is that people think he's this arrogant, egotistical kid that wants to flaunt his skills whenever he has to, which is never the case. He only practices days before a tournament, and just due to experience, he knows who any potential challengers might be at a competition. Just because he'll speak out honestly about it (in an insensitive way at times, sure) doesn't necessarily mean he's a jackass.

And rather than talk about this article in such a way, lets try to focus on how it was written rather humorously (the writer wouldn't have put in the whole boob incident without having a sense of humor people) for the sake of getting back on subject. Thanks.

PS: Yasu and Take are great no doubt, but I still wanna read anything on their competition ability, just because I know great people who can PA by themselves, but throw them against someone, and they break. Then again, I haven't really focused in on looking it up, so if anyone wants to help, then give me some info.

PPS: Regarding Jaime's quote about AZ, I'm sure you have some California, Seattle, NY, and other players that would like to challenge that quote.

Did anyone else pic up on a bit of a mocking tone through the entire article?

Best in the world...how does he/you/anyone even know that when he never competes against the other, 'best' in the world...

How would a competition with JSB, Yasu, Take, Fujitake, Onir, Opus fare out, i wonder who would win...who knows. But i do know that all those other guys arn't dicks...that's for sure.

Therefore, 'that's not the way it works'...IMO.

On the article...ithought it was a good read but it was sucking JSB's dick just a bit...

You all realize that JSB is likely reading this thread and having a good laugh about it.

Probably, but it can't be helped that his attitude became the main focus of this discusion. But I'm willing to say the Take and Yasu are probably better. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up doing it at some point as well. He just beat them to it.

There's a forum on DDR Freak dedicated to the Dance Dance Documentary:
http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=90150&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=
In there, you can find out how to order the DVD or where to see it (it's currently making the rounds on the national indie film fest circuit).
I've seen it, and it's definitely worth seeking out - a great fan's film, from start to finish

Hi.

My name is Juli Isbell.

JULI.
and you have no frick idea how terrified I was of JSB, okay? Sure, i could have decked him, right? And get jumped and doggy at by Californians and/or arizonian fanboys? I'd prefer not too.

And it must have been a psych tactics, because from what I can see from JSBs womanizing, he would never go for someone like me, even like that.

And i do have both pictures that are mentioned in the article, if you must know. I still swear I don't remember mentioning them though, nor were they ever widely viewed on my non existant personl homepage: They were on the photo topic of ussr.munkki.net, a spriter board. Oh well.
