News 24 Houston did an article last Friday on the "exer-gaming" trend. It talks about DDR, EyeToy Groove, and other exercise games. It includes a video version of the story.

Thanks to DDR Freak user ddrmax master for the link.

... exergaming? You're kidding, right?

In other news, news agencies all over the country are combining arbitrary words in a lame effort at producing an attractive sound-bite. In a final culmination of one-upmanship, MSNBC has today released what it believes to be the ultimate term for active gaming, which is a combination of Extreme, Active, Exercise, Energy, Video Gaming, and Jazzersize:

ExtremeAcitivideoExergenigamisizing!

After a brief period of shock, other networks have stated that they are working on a new, more exciting and youth-oriented name which they will release later this month.

I'm sorry but this article just plain out sucks. I didn't know that DDR was some new excersize tool. Talk about reporters with nothing better to do with their time. If they are going to write about something; at least try to get the facts right.

Everybody is writing all these articles about DDR, but they are truly missing what it's really about.

Oh and just for the record this cannot and will never be dancing. I don't care what the marquee on the machine says or what everybody else says as well. The end!!

a little late, but important:

news 24 houston is no longer on the air, they were shut down as a result of belo corp and time warner ending their partnership in this station, so this story isn't available anymore.

just a heads up.

Well, we saved a local copy, so it's still in the Press section of this site. However, it wouldn't let me save the images for some reason, so there's a ton of broken image links.
