I didn't mean that it's literally barren, I meant that the environment is depressing to me.... brown and smoggy with interstates and pavement everywhere you look for acres and acres.
I've spent my whole life (28 years) in Ohio, 19 in the country and 9 in the city. And two weeks in California. I bet that's more time than you've ever spent in Ohio.
I just get annoyed with this country's idea that L.A. (and NYC) are the only places that matter. |

Is it the same demo version shown at E3 or is it the completed version? |
Not sure -- but I'm guessing they won't have unlockable stuff available. Might possibly show off more Eye Toy features... *shrugs* |

Right. That's why I have absolutely no right to say why Ohio is barren. It's also why you have no right to say similar things regarding CA. I would have thought that a person of your age and experience would know that 2 weeks is not nearly enough time to pass judgment on living in any place. Back on topic please. _________________

Man, some people are so pessimistic. "WOW! Free prizes and a Bemani preview!" - "I bet it'll suck and its not even close to where I live." Lighten up! This is great!
So are the new Bemani games going to be at the 11 locations on those dates? |

will we have to enter the contest to play DDR? it sais fun festiveties for the whole family so DDR culd be a festivitie right? will they make the machines free to play? that would be awesome. and i guessing lowes is gonna be renting a machine since the location they are holding in my area (Manhattan baby lowes 34th street) doesnt have a ddr machine there (and the arcade right next to it shut down)
just wondering! |

Note that I was *responding* to a similar judgement. I wouldn't just come out of nowhere and say any state sucks. However, my initial impression after three separate trips to two major California cities is that I'd never want to live there.
OK, back on topic, really. |

Yes, Karaoke Revolution Volume 2 is already out and a lot of people already own copies of it. What scares the crap out of me is that San Francisco is not on the list, nor any California locations! I believe that the only Lowes theaters in San Francisco is at the Metreon down in downtown San Francisco.
They had other events like when Nami Tamaki came over and did a signing/performance, but no Konami and Lowes shindig? Ah, that's a bummer. _________________

forget about ohio, its about time we get to play ddr in G-Burg MD. it would be extra hot if loews got to keep a ddr machine in their building for people to play regularly. THEY WOULD MAKE SO MUCH MONEY OF ME ALONE. but wat r the odds rite? but yeah, the have information theyre handing out in the theaters on these little flyers u can grab, or thhey give u everytime u buy a ticket. but i got one question, wat time do they end? they start at 1 is all i know |

I'd like to know this too. If it means I get to play ddr extreme usa before it's on the market, I'll be at the Maryland one . I won't enter though unless I can just make a fool out of myself for 5 seconds and go play it for a few hours |

Ok, I just came back from being a runner up at the contest in Southfield Michigan - my friend Alan won the grand prize. heres how it works;
The copy of Extreme they have for you to play for free there is the E3 demo, with 8 songs on it :
Moba Moga
Highs off U
Your Rain
CSFILSM
A stupid barber
among others that i'm too lazy to remember...you dont have to enter to play DDR there. BUT - there are 11 runners up in the contest, and runners up get a FREE COPY OF DDR EXTREME mailed to them between now and the ship date - they gave out both extreme and Karaoke Revolution 2, but i'm sure if you ask nicely they'll let you swap it for extreme - along with a Konami DX soft pad that you pick up on site.
The contest in michigan didn't even have a lot of contestants - 65 tops - and grand prize from a local competition is both DDR Extreme, a new PS2, Karaoke Revolution 2 w/ mic, Free Movies at a star/loews theatre for you and a guest for a year, and an expenses paid trip to new york to compete in the finals.
so, with that said,
I"M GOIN TO NEW YORK!! woohoo
