Justify My Love-Tess
Origin:DDRMAX:6th Mix(The JP MAX)
Song:9/10
From what I've heard, this is a cover of a Madonna song. I've never heard Madonna's version, but as for Tess' version, it's got a good beat and very danceable. As for the lyrics, well they're...repetitive. In the beginning, it's all "I need to know I need to know, I gotta know I gotta know" and then "I Justify my love for you!" is repeated for the rest of the song.
Steps:7/10
This song will BETRAY you. You check the rating (9) and the groove radar(LOTS of freezes and chaos) and decide to try it. The beginning sections are easy, as they are all mostly freeze arrows. You'd think it's too easy for a 9 until it gets to THAT part with all the 16th note steps. Sure it follows the music, but put on Solo and Boost or 1.5 or something to be able to read it well. But once you've done it a few times, you'll get used to it. _________________

Drop Out
Song: 9/10
It's a great electronic number. The sirens and alarms sound pretty cool and it has a fast pace to it.
Steps: 7/10
Although it is a challenge with those jump sections and that killer end run it isn't perfect. The end runs themselves aren't very on beat and are kinda just a test for stamina and handling 8th note runs at over 200 bpm.
MAX.(period)
Song: 6/10
It's a decent song. I usually like the MAX brothers but this song is my least favorite of all of them. The vocals of "Why do you need Konami Original songs?" might start a little debate behind the meaning of it but other than that 2MB has done way better. And the PARANOiA part in the middle has no beat to it.
Steps: 5/10
Like I said before, the middle has no beat to follow. They put PARANOiA's steps there but the music really isn't playing so you can follow it. And that whole 600bpm thing is just a crazy gimmick. Making a song go that fast isn't a good way to challenge people (yes its hard but speed shouldn't always equal hard). Besides that run handles like a big 300 bpm 8th note run.
The legend of MAX
Song: 10/10
My favorite MAX brother. The lyrics and constant beat in the background make this an instant favorite. It's just a great song.
Steps: 9/10
While not as complex as MaxX Unlimited it is more of a challenge in the speed and stamina department. It runs at 333 bpm most of the song (minus the slowdown) and has some tricky runs that go into jump patterns. The end run itself is a challenge. Very hard but for a more technical challenge MaxX does a better job. |

A (for Extreme)
Rating: 8.5/10
Summary: "A" defined something entirely different to the music library of DDR. The song begins with a low-key orchestrated symphony at about 90 bpm that draws you in slowly as you listen to the violin of this song. Then as soon as the music gently lays the palm of it's hand on your chest, by the instant the song transforms into a fast-paced symphony power-house clocking at 191 bpm overwhelming you with a passion and vibrant greed to dance the night away! For a long time, I've been waiting for a song to make such deliveries as I have described and that's what "A" did for me! I loved it!
Steps (Heavy): 7.5/10
The steps are plenty enjoyable on heavy but I feel there could've been a little bit more in voltage. The oni steps have much more voltage but at the cost of cross-overs and jumps. |

Although people do not consider this song worthy of DDR, It is a beautiful song, with meaningfull lyrics, and a mellow tune. Anyone who truly enjoys music for its value would be able to absorb the song. |
You know what? I completely agree with you. Here in Michigan someone made some edit steps to that song. All I can say is "Wow!" Who would ever think a simple song like that could have such hard steps. |
