1. Despite his appearance in photos, Naoki is a man.
2. The main female vocalist is Paula Terry, not Naoki.
3. The male rapper appearing in many of Naoki's songs is Aaron G. Once again, this is not Naoki.
4. Yes, the cowboy Naoki character is also a male.
5. His picture was in the instruction booklets for both Konamix and MAX.
6. He's inferior to dj TAKA and TaQ. E15.gif
7. Repeat: Naoki is not a female. Eat me.

Haha very funny. I'm serious, I don't believe it. I'm still a huge fan. E15.gif

Sakura --> Pronounced Sa (as "sa" in sarcasm but shorter) - ku (as "ku" in Kuwait but shorter) - ra (as "ra" in mirage but shorter). Most people pronounce it as "Suh - ker - a" and it drives me absolutely nuts devil.gif

sweat.gif I have to say, I've been guilty of this. I've been a huge CCS fan for years, and on the US dubs, they're constantly saying "Suh-ker-a". I guess I just picked up the dirty habit from there...

Anyways, back on topic - is it always Paula Terry singing? If you compare Burnin the Floor & 1998 to Broken My Heart & Can't Stop Falling in Love...It really doesn't sound like the same person there.

Please don't even get me started on Kids WB and the dubbed version of Cardcrappers, thank god they cancelled the Dvd production of that awful dub...ack!

And when you say you've been watching Card Captor Sakura for years, then you had to have seen the subbed version first...how in the world could you even listen to the dub after watching the original??? Sakura-chan, Tomoyo-chan & Kero-chan were all so Kawaii (that means "cute" btw in Japanese) and had the best voice actors ever!

I could go on for hours on this rant, but needless to say, this is one of the best examples of US censorship and lack of vision/talent used to ruin one of the best anime series ever! (Go CLAMP biggrin.gif )

For those of you that cannot understand or relate to this topic, imagine if KOA changed all the step charts for each song in DDR that came over to the USA and other countries. Then changed the songs (by re-dubbing the Japanese songs) horribly, and turning DDR into some little kids game, with the hardest song being 5 feet.... Yeah, that's how it feels to be an anime fan in the US at times.

I can't really say. I listen to songs like Secret Rendez-vous and I want to say it's Ebony Fay, because the vocalist in Do It Right sounds so similar, but other than just listening to the songs over and over, I don't really have any other basis for this guess.

You're preachin' to the choir, sister... riiight.gif

Being a CCS fan for quite some time, I am also very disgusted about the dubbed version. In fact, anytime I see anything related to *ahem* Cardcaptors I think I'm gonna vomit. It's horrible! I mean, come on! MADISON?!?! How do you get that from Tomoyo-chan?

Not to mention when they aired it on Kids WB (Bleh disturb.gif ) They got the episode count way out of order. They showed the second episode as the one where Li got the Time card, and not only that, but the episode after that they showed the episode where Li first came to Sakura Kinomoto's school! A while after that I became so fed up with watching it I sought out the subbed version and breathed a huge sigh of relief.

And yes, Clamp rules all others with Chobits, Magic Knight Rayearth, Angelic Layer, and yes, Cardcaptor Sakura.

Now, back on topic: my friend, who we'll call "Melvin," has his heart set on believing Naoki's a girl. I kept trying to convince him Naoki's not a girl, but he wouldn't listen. He also says DJ Taka is a girl's name... E19.gif Yeah, I think he has problems.

How do you think I can convince him Naoki's not a girl? He's pretty dead-set on believing he is, he even got his friend, who we'll call "Logan" to believe Naoki's a girl too. He's corrupting the minds of our DDR youth! So, how can I stop him?
