Most Overrated Songs? (difficulty-wise)

I believe that Sync should be about a 7 on heavy.

It was my 4th heavy, and there's not really anything difficult to it.

I think the foot rating people did a good job grading things because foot ratings are all based on opinion...for example you could be really good at 8th notes and really bad at gallops so you consider In the Navy really hard but other people don't because they can do gallops...just because certain people can do a song doesn't make it easier or harder

For the most part, single ratings are fairly accurate. It's like Dance_More said, it's based on what you're good at.

Ok, I'm gonna open up a whole new can of worms here and start talking about double foot ratings.

Drop Out heavy/maniac: not a 9, not a chance. Hard 8 yes, but by no means as hard as something like R3 heavy (by all means a 9), Xanadu or even...

Moonlight Shadow: This one might just be me, but holy schizen, there's no way this is a 7-footer. When you can consistently whomp on things like Drop Out and A heavy, but can't get 20 seconds into a 7 footer, something's up. Even things like Matsuri Japan heavy and In The Navy Heavy are easier than this. No doubles specialist I've met can do this with any consistency.

Abyss heavy: says 7, feels more like an 8 (some similarites to Door of Magic/AM-3P).

Managed to pass CSFILSM HD okay, this is a 9. Someone had told me to try Ecstacy HD next -- foot rating came up as 7. No problems? as if. Got absolutely destroyed O_o And Dead End HD looks a hell of a lot harder than CSFILSM HD and it's only an 8. Same for D2R Heavy... oh my god that just looks insane, so that is NOT a 7 foot. (Word to the wise: Stay clear of 7 foots on HD

). I had a look at Genom Screams in Stepmania and while I'd call it a 9 I don't see what qualifies it as a 10 on HD exactly...

The doubles ratings are just nuts, yeah. The singles are pretty much spot on though (and hey MSL is pretty damn hard on 1x. I passed Max300 once and then immediately afterwards failed MSL, owch!

). I've not seen a single cata that doesn't deserve the label, and actually So Deep should be a 9. It's tiring yeah but give me So Deep over Max300 any day. I can do SD reasonably consistently without a bar. I only managed to do Max300 without a bar once and it absolutely destroyed me.

Well, Personally, I do believe that I feel... should NOT be 9 -- maybe 8,
Sakura should definately be a 9, i know, I know, PA'ing it is hard as heck.

But, at that rate, So deep should be an ''easy'' ten, I can pass sakura with an A -- or B sometimes, but can barely pass So Deep... on 1X -- no solo. But wiht 2x solo, I get a C -- or D.

Side note:
If anyone says ANYTHING about Drop out then............

Well, I am not going to argue whether Sakura should be a 10 foot or 9 foot. I will say that is definately is NOT an 8 foot. Thats just stupid. I have yet to full combo Sakura, although I have full comboed all songs rated 9 steps by konami (except so deep). Also, just because bag is physicly easy to do, that doesnt mean its not a 10 step. It gets it's rating from the difficulty in reading the steps. I want to hear someone who can AA it on heavy and on 1x speed say that it's too easy. As for my opinion, Door of Magic is more of a 7 (a post 5th mix 7, not a pre-max 7... there is a huge differance). Another small factor in difficulty that I have noticed, is that I can easily FC Afronova on Heavy with 20 greats or less on extreme... however, if I go back to 3rd mix and play, I tend to get a few goods. I dont know if it is because of the frame rate, or smaller timing windows, or what.
