They say DDR is gay because they CAN'T DDR and give up so easily like the pathetic losers they are. Then there are some DDR attention whores out there who steal the show w/ their freestyle moves.

...ummmmm let them rant on DDR. Not letting them have their own opinion makes them think of how much of a fool DDR players actually are in general. Just let them have their own opinion and let them freely say it. There's probably nothing you can do to change their opinions anyway....just I firmly stand up in what I believe in for myself and others and noone could change that or change my opinion on things. So if I were writing about how much DDR sucked and you replied like this I'd be laughing in all of your faces.

Honestly if I was in this guy's shoes i'd probably be laughing at the dumb remarks you are giving these "anti-DDRers" I find DDR interesting but not life or anything before anything else...but let them have their opinion.

Just think of it this way. If you are a celebrity (or a video game for that matter) some people are going to hate your guts, and others are gonna love you and fantasize about you. People that hate DDR are the haters, and and people that love it are the fanatics, and thats all there is too it.

Most of the negative sentiments directed against DDR aren't even specific to it - the fact is that there are three types of people in the world: Those that will go out in front of people and do stuff, those that won't, and those that won't but just hang around the edges and snipe at those that do. DDR has just brought this kind of distinction to the local level.

The third type really aren't worth bothering yourself over. If someone doesn't want to play, or thinks DDR is stupid, I have no problem with that. Someone who wants attention themselves but will only attacks others to get it, that's different.

Example: There are often groups of kids around the machine where I play, and sometimes one of them tries to crack jokes or make fun of me when I play. After a bit he realises I'm not even aware of him, and jokes louder to get reaction from the crowd. Then he realises that they aren't paying him any heed either, and he (it's usually a he for some reason) gets louder and louder laughing at me trying to get a reaction, until he's emitting some kind of insane-sounding braying. Tries to make the fool of me, ends up looking tragic himself, no?

Even if something does annoy you, getting annoyed only reduces your enjoyment and makes you less able to deal with it sensibly - so why get annoyed?
